Invitation to Raise Awareness for Autism

The United Nations declared 2 April World Autism Day. We invite you and your loved ones to join us in an effort to support the 290 000 People with Autism in South Africa as we lobby for more educational institutions and resources!!!

Programme: 

Meet us at Moses Mabhida Stadium’s Peoples’ Park:

10am: Hop on the Rickshaw Bus to raise awareness through the City Centre – stop overs and pamphlet distribution at the Market and the City Hall precinct.

11.30am: Photo opportunity at Moses Mabhida Stadium. People with Autism hold lettering that reads: “This City Supports People with Autism”.

12pm: March for People with Autism: a 2km walk around Moses Mabhida Stadium, led by Durban’s Field Band, Bring your banners and posters.

1.00pm- 3pm: Bring your picnic basket, a picnic blanket and picnic on the grounds.

We will prepare the banners, posters, and artwork for the 20 April 2013 at our fun filled pizza and paint day on 13 April 2013, 2pm – 4pm at The Action in Autism Centre (74 Keal Road, Sydenham) – all are welcome to join in the fun.
